The waitress had mentioned a large portion of spinach, so we also added mushrooms as a side. Unfortunately, the pork was small, overcooked, and dry, with hardly any sauce. The extra potatoes were cooked well but lacked flavor. The spinach portion turned out to be disappointingly small and tasteless. Overall, the meal was lacking in taste and portion size for the price. The highlight was the decent Cote du Rhone, although slightly overpriced. The staff was friendly but seemed inexperienced.
On Monday evening, we were the only patrons at the restaurant until two other tables arrived later. We received great service from the friendly staff and enjoyed browsing the menu, which was divided into sections like aperitifs, mains, sharing boards, and sides. After some debate, we settled on the drilling islands and saucisson to start, which were served with a generous portion of fresh baguette. For our mains, we tried the tartare frites, a raw steak dish seasoned with capers, Worcestershire sauce, and tabasco, which was one of the best we've ever had. The chips were perfectly seasoned and served in a brown paper bag. Overall, Bouchon Fourchette receives four out of five stars, with the only downside being the quiet atmosphere due to it being a Monday night.
