ān Bǐ Shí Táng - Hachimantai-shi

Up until the 2016/2017 season, it was a pension. Since the 2018/2019 season, the Ami Shokudo opened as a lunch restaurant and izakaya in the pension village. For lunch, you can choose from three daily lunch specials which include salad, simmered dishes, dessert, and coffee refills for 1000 yen (as of the 2020 season). It may be hard to reach without a car from the slopes, but if you have the chance, it is recommended. They also offer a super-sized spaghetti called "Maemori".

The affordable and delicious soba yaki is very tasty. It's not Chinese noodles, but Japanese soba, and I think it's topped with mentsuyu instead of sauce. The lunch menu is also reasonably priced. However, the restaurant is not very spacious, so if you plan on dining there in the evening, I recommend making a reservation.

This dining spot is located in the pension area of Ambi Kogen. It has a very calming atmosphere and is very comfortable. The lunch set is only 1000 yen and comes with a huge portion! The beef stew was incredibly delicious.
