Stuff was pretty busy so we had to remind ourselves. For food we tried duck leg, chicken breast, prawn spaghetti and pancakes. Duck leg and filled chicken breast with bacon won. Unfortunately spaghetti were so salty and pancakes chocolate topping was too much and too much sweet. Anyway still can recommend it was nice experience and as mentioned duck leg with chicken was really good choice. Thank you
A lovely place. We came in today when the kitchen was about to close, but the staff were more than happy to serve us. The wine and beer recommendations were great. We ordered the spicy white wine spaghetti the flavours worked really well together. On top of that, the staff were very kind towards our three dogs offering them some bowls and a big bucket of water. Overall, a great experience.
I used to come here weekly during my study abroad year. Back then prices were very reasonable. Food was great. Peter, Roberto, Franz, were great. There were 2 owners or perhaps managers always around.. one was a really nice guy and appreciated the amount of money we were spending there weekly. The other owner, with a moustache, was ungrateful, obtuse and homely. We stopped going because of this owner. Things have gone downhill there since.
I think the best feature of this place is the interior furnishings and decor; interesting collection of pictures, memorabilia etc. However I have to agree with several other reviews regarding value for money , it 's a bit of a tourist trap and you 're paying for it 's location and unique style. Personally I would rather spend my money on good value hearty food. I 'm not writing without experience as have found some excellent Hungarian restaurants on the outskirts of Budapest which serve great food at reasonable prices. It my second one month visit to Hungary, but after the main course here, I left hungry.
I had a burger which was very nice but a bit expensive for what it was. I was shocked to see that a compulsory 10% tip is added to the bill. I don't remember seeing that on the menu. Where I come from, tipping is at the customer's discretion. RESPONSE TO THE BUSINESS OWNER: As I said, the burger was nice so I gave 3 stars. An exceptional burger would get 5 stars and McDonalds 1 star. The service was average. I was not asked how I would like my burger cooked. I was not offered any additional condiments. And the waiter did not ask if I was happy with my meal. Very average service which deserved no more than 3 stars.
