The menu offered a variety of Italian dishes, but there were some Mediterranean starters that seemed out of place. My companion enjoyed his garlic prawns and linguine, while my arancini was nice but too dry. The sauce helped a bit. However, my spaghetti and meatballs were terrible - the taste and texture were off, suggesting they may have been boiled instead of cooked properly. I wasn't the only one who had issues as the waitress offered to replace my dish. Even with the sauce on the spaghetti, it couldn't salvage the meal. A bottle of Dolmio sauce would have been better. We shared a good bottle of pinot grigio for $38, which wasn't too bad. The cocktails others were having looked amazing. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive, despite the busy night. We won't be returning as the food was disappointing and lacked authenticity in Italian cuisine.
I have noticed how many of the reviews about this restaurant are over 2 years old....so went to dinner here 4x in the last month or so I decided that it is asking me to let them all know how it is currently. the owners have only. here just over 2 years and have worked incredibly hard to improve service and quality. yes, they have maintained the original name, and perhaps a little of this stigma remains, but be sure that it has risen high above their average small restaurant! the menu changes a few times a year, so when dishes I mention are no longer available, I assure them that the new dishes will be quality. starter by duck salad with granatapfel, baked prosciutto wrapped figures (yumm! calamari fritti and more. nets such as beef cheeks (superb! lamb shoulder roulad, fish tacos, barramundi. Desserts....(depending on rida has tested a pretty damn good weinlist and finished...so its hardly likely they will not find anything they can enjoy. Although it is a relatiw small but busy restaurant, the meal times arrive well within a reasonable period of time, the kitchen staff works seamlessly to ensure smooth operation. To be honest, our family enjoyed this restaurant as the new owners are moved in and it is so pleasant that we walk there a few times every month. ps. if they can't decide, they have an excellent offer called trust the chef that gives them a selection of 5 items for $60. I had it twice and recommend it very much!
Last night there were 12 of us. it looked so beautiful when we sat in- we sat on large middle table decorated with beautiful flowers. the atmosphere was really great- music not too loud, beautiful lighting- some couples, some smaller...groups- a nice mood. we ordered the Sharing plates, arancini and vegetarian tacos to begin with all fresh and tasty- many vegetarian options. then we had pizzas – they were also tasty, beautiful thin crust loved the Figgy-Yum. cocktails looked great. we ordered the Oreo cheesecake for the birthday child and it came with happy birthday with her name also written in chocolate on the plate- nice touch. rida and her team have looked incredibly good at us and the restaurant was pretty full, so they were pretty busy, but we did not have to wait for something. I notice that this restaurant has some bad reviews, but I can tell them that it must have been another administration because we couldn't blame it. When I was the one who organized it, I was very grateful that everything went smoothly. many thanks to all those who took care of us.
We had dined at this restaurant once before and it was fantastic. The service was great and the food was excellent. Wanting to support a local business, we decided to order delivery to our home. Unfortunately, it was a mistake. The bruschetta was undercooked and all of the dishes were cold upon arrival (despite being delivered quickly). The salt and pepper shakers seemed like they hadn't been refilled in a while and the food appeared to have just been thrown together without care. The pizza tasted fine, but the shrimp seemed small and frozen. A cold pizza is not appetizing. It seems the restaurant now has different owners and we will not be returning.
We enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the negative reviews we had read beforehand. We started with the fish tacos, which were very tasty, and followed with the prosciutto pizza and seafood pasta, both of which were very enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive.
