Cochran's Cafeteria - Gun Barrel City

I enjoyed my selection very much. I do love chicken livers and gravy and being cafeteria style I also got a chicken fried steak and gravy and black-eyed peas. And peach cobbler for desert. I'm afraid they might have had to use a dolly to get me back out to my car had I not had enough sense to save my cobbler until the three hour drive home was complete. Great place! ????

Homestyle cooking at it's finest!! The best fried catfish in this area. Very friendly and down home employees..I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great Cafeteria style food in an old style restaurant setting. As you walk in the door, go to your right toward the bottled soda cooler. Pick up a tray and get your plastic utensils from the utensil dispenser. Order your food which is put on a styrofoam plate and pay at the end of the counter. You can serve yourself to the fountain drinks or to the sweetened (Southern) or unsweetened (Northern) tea. Find a seat and enjoy. The Hamburger Steak with mashed potatoes (skin on),

Always good food and great service. Family friendly and a great good for the community.

The chicken pliers were really big and the food was great. A great price. Her Koleslaw was really good and creamy not half dry as other places.
