Contribuiți la feedbackI visited this restaurant in 2002 on my way to the Gulmarg resort. I was happy to see that it is still open. While going through some old walking gear, I found your business card in one of my backpacks. I still remember how delicious the chicken tikka was and how friendly the staff were. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Downhill is a popular spot for skiers. It is conveniently located and has a bukhari to keep you warm during meals. The non-vegetarian dishes served at nearby tables appeared to be more appetizing than the vegetarian food we ordered (we refrained from ordering non-veg due to a Hindu festival that day). Overall, it was a decent spot, but vegetarians may want to steer clear.
Their goshtaba and Kashmiri Dum aloo were both outstanding. The bukhari in the center of the room added to the pleasant atmosphere. The ambience was nothing special, but it was clean. The kawa they served us just before our meal was absolutely delicious.
The restaurant was open early in the morning itself (around 8 am) when we were en route from Srinagar airport to Gulmarg. We had delicious aloo paratha and kashmiri dum aloo. The taste was very unique and tasty. Rate was reasonable too.
I have been to this place many times and always prefer to go and have food here whenever I am in Tangmarg. I absolutely love it. The food is very delicious and of good quality. The staff especially Mr Rafiq is incredibly hospitable. He provides fantastic service. He is a real gem in this restaurant. This place is highly recommended.
