Habana Cafe - Gulfport

Every time my husband and I go, we are looked fun (one to take our order and another leans on the counter give us a dirty look) and we were charged a non cash fee even if we paid cash and we tipped for takeout! That's the second time we had a problem. The Cuban was great, tostones we are too long roasted. I thought it was better the second time.

We drove by and my husband found this place based on reviews. We had lunch and it was excellent. I definitely come back. The food was well flavored and the spicy Habanero sauce is definitely spicy. Many times you will be here, but then the sauce is weak. My husband loves spices and gave him two thumbs. We had to try the cheesecake. Only the correct amount of sweetness and creamy cheese taste. We'll bring our friends next time!

Service was great. Drunken shrimp was great. Flan was great. The Cuban was good.

Placed an order for the exit and the service was good and the server that picked up the phone was nice. I ordered camaronen ajillo and the rice, drilling and brot was good, but I thought the garnel and sauce that it came could have been more tasteful as the camarones borracho.

Habana has been my favorite local Cuban gem for YEARS. I grew up coming here with my parents, and as an adult find myself frequenting often for lunch. They added a really beautiful , well covered outdoor area that we adore. The sangria is delicious, get the carafe size, it?s only $4 more than a glass and easily gets us 4 plus glasses. The drunken shrimp is to die for. It?s served with Cuban bread and made with mojo sauce, garlic, white wine and onion.You will 100% find yourself wishing there was more. For meal I usually get the Piccadillo but the Spanish salad (so good) and drunken shrimp are filling enough . Service is always excellent and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend !
