Phenomenal! People need to know about this place. Everything is wonderful, friendly and special. If you're not hanging out here, you're doing it wrong.

Most of the reviews are spot-on. Fine BBQ with southern style vegetables. For a small rural cafe, it couldn't be any better than this. It's great to have this option near whitewater rafting on Cache Creek.

Nice restaurant in the quiet capay valley. Big wooden bar. Nice fireplace old time music playing throughout. Daytime menu has sandwiches and burgers. The burger is awesome, not cheap, made from good meat. I asked for a catfish sandwich which is a dinner item and they let me get it anyway even though it appeared to be a lot of extra work for the chef since it was too early. If you drive up to clear lake or even to the casino stopping here will be the best part of your Tripp.

Oh my goodness! On my last full day in the Sacramento area, I took the short but beautiful drive out to this place. Was greeted by Lori with suggestions for beer to match my taste. She helped me make a perfect choice! The food was fantastic to include her buttermilk pie (which reminded me of my grandmothers). I took an order to go so I could take it on the plane tomorrow. If you live in this area and do not venture out here, you are MISSING this great little place!

I've been to many BBQ places all around the country, and this one ranks up there among the best. Good food, good atmosphere, friendly service. Extensive beer menu, and wine from a local winery. Worth a trip even if it's out of your way the place is great and the drive to it is beautiful.
