The Jetty Guildford

My spouse and I stayed at the hotel for our wedding anniversary in June and decided to dine at the restaurant for dinner. The staff were very friendly, but appeared to be overwhelmed despite the restaurant being only half full. We did not receive any bread, and the wine took a long time to arrive as we watched it being brought back and forth a few times to chill. The prawn and chicken curry arrived without the prawns, so we had to request them separately. However, when the dish finally arrived, it was delicious. Our starters of prawn cocktail and smoked salmon cannelloni were outstanding and flavorful. The bill ended up being quite expensive for the quality of food we received, especially the prawn and chicken curry which was priced at over £16. Although the dish was tasty, it seemed a bit overpriced for a simple combination of chicken, prawns, butternut squash, and rice. The restaurant was undergoing a lot of renovation before the opening of a new restaurant, which may explain the issues we encountered. Overall, we had a pleasant time and were able to laugh off the mishaps, but we probably wouldn't make a return visit.

We visited this restaurant for the second time for a celebratory meal and we were very happy with our choice. The menu offered a wide variety of options for all three courses and we enjoyed a diverse selection of food that we thoroughly enjoyed. Everything was fresh and expertly cooked. The service was exceptional, with waitstaff attending to our every need. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning soon.

I tried the set menu and was impressed by the tasty Asian beef salad, my friend's sea bass, and the variety of cocktails offered. Excellent attentive service and I would definitely come back again.

Booked for an afternoon tea to celebrate two birthdays. Very nice surroundings and a lovely tea, loved the scones with clotted cream and jam, and the small cakes. Nicely presented. Very good value as we did not know there was a promo on that day.

We went for dinner here whilst staying in the hotel, the lobster was lovely although tiny! more like a big prawn, which is probably why they offer unlimited fries and salad!! Very good service (although was a quiet evening so that may have affected it), we wouldnt go again unless we were in the area, but would recommend it. The drinks menu was ridiculously expensive so we opted to head to nearby Turtle Bay for half price cocktails which were amazing!!
