Tastefully decorated with a Parisian (Australian twist), this quaint café is immaculately clean and allows for enjoyable conversations with friends without the distraction of noisy baristas and coffee machines. The menu offers delicious, homemade fare that is beautifully presented. The coffee and milkshakes are also generous and expertly crafted. Although there are other attractions in the courtyard, this charming café could benefit from better signage to increase its visibility.
We were touring the Guildford antique shops, and wanted to get lunch. This was a very nice break, with good food, friendly people and terrific coffee. The decor is chintzy, but fun.
Among all the antique shops in Guildford, there are only a few cafes available. This means that finding a seat and some peace in these joints can be a challenge.
This restaurant is hidden away on James Street, but it is worth seeking out.
