La Cucina - Guelph

Group of 12 friends went out for dinner but didn't know where to go. Finally we noticed a small Restaurant La Cucina and on our surprise there was only 3 tables left what was enough for us, it took only few minutes for staff to make all of them ready for dinner. Appetizers, different type of foods everything fresh cooked and served, verygood class vine, very nice ambient, wonderful service, friendly staff, everything was clean and organized. Thank you, definitely will go back.

An interesting entry into the building as it seats on the 2nd floor in the rear of the complex. (Unfortunately, does not appear to be accessible if anyone is curious) I love that you pass the kitchen towards your seat. The kitchen team was smiling and greeting guests upon their arrival for the seating. This small service of the whole team (not just the host, or the service team) was grateful for your arrival. The venue itself is quaint. Which allows for an intimate setting. Real flowers on the tables. The little attention to detail show's they're willing to put money in the small things!The waiter was extremely helpful with his suggestions and selections. They have wonderful selection of wines. We started off of with a wonderful Prosecco. The 4 of us each had our own appetizer. Each of us fully satisfied with the dish. With that we had a wine recommended by the Waiter - delicious. For the mains, I had the duck. It was literally the BEST duck I've had. Cooked to perfection! One member of our party had a fish allergy - it was pleasant to see the restaurant accommodate with ease. The waiter, again, selected a fine bottle! The only critique I have was the dessert. The Tiramisu I had was frozen at parts and was more ice cream that a proper Tiramisu filling. The other desserts did receive good feedback. I look forward to being back again!

This restaurant has a great atmosphere with exposed kitchen and a balcony with those pretty backyard hanging lightsGorgeous roses on every table.

I was feeling down and wanted to take myself out for a nice dinner (because let's be honest, what better way to cheer up!?).

Being born and raised in Italy, I've always been reluctant to eat at Italian restaurants.
