So, not busy at all. Our server was pleasant, brought us our beverages and took our food order. Then we waited for 45 minutes. The food included, soup, quesadillas, and a combo dish that included wings and veggie nachos. Nothing fancy that would require extended cooking time. The chicken with rice soup and the french onion soup were both very salty. The wings were pretty good but the rest of the order was just OK. It's clear why the place was so empty at the height of the lunch hour, everybody else knows how slow the place is and knows that you can't order, eat and make it back to work on time.
Pizza was terrible with a cardboard crust and no detectable pizza sauce. Truly tasteless. Menu says dough is made fresh but doesn't state what month it was made fresh. Wings were doused in Diana's sauce. When nobody finishes their meal at a table of 5, does the wait staff not suspect anything? Nobody came by to ask how the meal was because I suspect they usually get an earful.
I had a chance to go to Bobby OBriens last month for wings and was not disappointed for sure. There was a huge variety to choose from and we managed to taste test quite a few that night. The wings were cooked perfectly and the beer was the perfect temperature. I thought it would be loud and crowded but it was actually neither although it was busy. Thanks Bobby's...we will be back!
The atmosphere at this restaurant was unwelcoming and the staff were unfriendly. After waiting for several minutes without being served, we decided to sit at a table nearby. We waited for about 10-15 minutes without any staff coming to our table, so I went to the bar to ask for menus. The server responded rudely, saying "It's not a seat, but I can give you some menus." I explained that we had been waiting but no one had greeted us, so we sat down. We ultimately left and found a pub down the street where we were promptly greeted and our business was genuinely appreciated.
I went to the restaurant on Thursday after 7:00 and they offered a discount on chicken wings. I really enjoyed the hot honey and sweet chili sauce on the wings. The sweet potato fries were also delicious. I decided to try the popular Canadian dish poutine, the taste was decent but I preferred the wings and sweet potatoes the most!
