Mercado 24 - Guatemala City

Amazing food options with a menu that's constantly changing. I suggest you sit at the bar and have a chat with the chefs while you enjoy the delicious plates.

It was good and fresh street food.... menu changes everyday. Very good seafood.

After a more than an hour wait, sitting on hard chairs, waiting for some bread or something to munch on while we waited for our food, we were finally served. They brought us some bread when we asked, after waiting for about 40 minutes, but we had to ask for napkins. As for the food, the presentation was nice. The pork dishes had nice sides but the pork chops were a somewhat overcooked. The robalo dish was very good, but the chard was oversalted. The duck was good and the carrot purée was very good and had original, unusual flavor. Our overall experience was not good the lack of attentiveness was disconcerting, and not at all what we are used to in Guatemala City. I would have expected an apology at the very least. This is the reason for giving Mercado 24 only two stars. Due to the long wait and poor service, I do not recommend this restaurant.

This place never stops surprising me! the raw fish tostada is just fantastic. as they say in their marketing campaigns, comida rica.

They always enjoy coming here. good seasonal items. good ceviches and tiraditos/crudos. well boiled/drilled fish dishes, especially whole fish, or they sometimes offer fishcracks, jum! also good on the slowly baked/used items such as ochsen tail, beinge, sweet bread. also great cocktails and craft beer.
