My favorite is the fresh baked chocolate bread (maybe not so "healthy", but still made with seeds and grains!) It is very cheap and made with Hare Krishna love. They always play nice, mellow music. I like to read and relax while eating there. They make fresh salads as well as more hearty food, like beet lentil burgers. The people that work there are delightful, especially Sebastian (Nitay).
I wanted a healthy meal and Govinda's delivered. The menu of the day ($15,000) included blackberry juice, celery soup and a main plate with salad, fritters, rice, vegetables and a sauce. The food was delicious and the service homely. Afterwards I bought a tasty but different vegan chocolate bun for takeaway dessert. Curiously, Govinda's two seating options were on the floor and at a table raised quite high.
My friend and I visited this small gem, Govinda's, just before we returned to Medellin; it was tasty and unique. The chef tended to our table and made us something that he recommended. I'm not sure what the dish was exactly, but suffice to say that it was a delicious medley of vegetables, pesto and seeds. He als brought us a really nice hot chocolate with palm sugar and chai notes...yum.My only criticism is that the spiritual music being played was a bit too loud and not my thing. Best veggie food so far on our trip.
One of the best meals i had in Colombia. I'm not a vegan, but this was great food and a very good price. The staff was nice too and they have lovely bred aswell.
