El Gran Tako - gton-Fayette

Suddenly remembered this place from years ago. They took our tour bus of +27 in when a racist restaurant nearby suddenly forgot our reservations and sent us away. They immediately brought up our moods with their warm personalities, good food and service.

It had been a while since we ate at El Gran Tako, and our previous food experience here was decent.This time, everything was different...and NOT for the better. I ordered one of my favorite tacos, taco de birris, a dish that typically NEVER disappoints, until today. The food took a bit and arrived lukewarm. The corn tortillas were stale and disintegrated when picked up. The birria was SUPER DRY, how is this possible with steamed meat? Service was lack luster. Definitely won't be back and wouldn't recommend.

We were served very large plates of food. It was very good and delicious and hot. Service was great too.

Eat here once a week and it is fantastic...great prices and authentic tasting Mexican
