Hotel Restaurant Alphorn - Gstaad

This was one on the few restaurants open since it is off season. Saw a lot of locals here which is a good sign. We had pizza and french fries. Both delicious!

My Husband and i visited this restaurant and we stayed here.Very good breakfast and friendly staff.The breakfast area was clean and tidy.They had lot of options Cereals,cornflakes,juices,bread bun,Non-veg breakfast as well.We had pizza for lunch.It was great.It was very elegantly arranged.Nice tables and chairs.I mean very good ambience overall.Location is also awsesome.

A very welcoming and affordable place to go with young children. Nice food, very big plates and children friendly. It's very close to a sky resort which it made it very easy to keep the children entertained.

I had a very nice evening, the atmosphere was very swiss mountain lodge (which is cute but may be a little overdone). I tried the tomato and the carrot soups, both of which tasted fantastic, great to warm up after a cold day spent outside. The main courses were also great, the meat was mouthwatering and the pasta with truffles tasted like heaven. The desserts were a little too far fetched in my opinion, they seemed too experimental for typical swiss mountain cuisine, therefore didn't really fit the theme. Although there were many to choose from, thus there may have been better things available.

All the meals we ate were delicious and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived for lunch (more than once) in ski clothes and all that this entailed - we were still welcomed and given a big table to eat at - we were a party of 9.
