Buck Meadows Lodge - Groveland

Buck meadows was exactly- even better- than depicted. perfect location, additional conveniences, huge space, clean, quiet. not sure why some other reviews complain about noise, but we have no experience. we would definitely stay and recommend.

I was looking for a simple accommodation before a backpack trip in yosemite and that fits the bill. However, I was pleasantly surprised that it was a cut above what I expected when I booked and when I got my first look at the place. it looks very rustic from the outside, but the furniture has been updated and everything looked really nice. the furniture and built have a coodinated look and everything was clean and fresh. it had a small refrigerator, but the larger size, not the square mini fridge. wifi was decent, maybe a little slow in the evening, but enough. we swoop in the pool at its adjacent and it was beautiful in the heat of the afternoon. it was very convenient to have the lucky buck restaurant in front of location and they were open early for breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner served. I'd stay back.

The room was very nice. many towels. nice and right room. the hotel staff was excellent. my daughter enjoyed the pool. many chairs for the guests. parking in front of the room a plus. great restaurant next door.

At 2:30 jan 10. I never had a worse check-in in my life. the writer always yelled at me. he spoke louder and louder and refused to wear a mask. he also said there was no home economy for a 4-day stay, although there was no advance notice. room is nice, but not compensate rude writing hired. a terrible way to start my vacation. wifi is also dirty.

Nice large camping area some spots shady and some not. New owners really nice but the old owners left the place so run down the new owners have a lot of work to do. With a fresh coat of paint on the fence posts , relocating the residents that live there to the back 40 and cleaning that up that location and lodging is going to be amazing. Best of luck to the new owners, you’ll have a nice place, just keep working on it .
