L'etoile - GROTTAGLIE

What a great pizza this is! And with a lot of choices not only for the flavors themselves but also for the dough, I never found so many choices. A bit a shame the pizza wasn't very warm and we waited quite long... But great place for a family dinner

We arrived and no one was yet in the restaurant. Rudy, who is from Miami, greeted us immediately, and helped us get seated. My associate had previously eaten there and thought it was good. We ordered the Gorganzola steak. It arrived ala carte with a runny, thinned out sauce and no vegetables. Suddenly we were told it was ala carte when indeed my associate had it 2 days prior and it came with roasted potatoes and was not ala carte. Wethen ordered potates which arrived 40 minutes later after we had finished eating and we charged €11! For potatoes? They also told us the wine was only by the bottle but the waiter came and said would you like a glass? Overall, the quality of the food was quite poor, they took advantage of tourists and the price was ridiculous , €97 when all was said and done. Quite possibly the worst meal I had in the month I was in Italy. I would discourage others from giving this establishment their business

We were looking for something a little different from the usual pizzeria so we returned to L'Etoile. Pizza was pretty good, but even better was their take on the mixed antipasti... A little more upmarket and better presented than other places in Grottaglie. The orecchiette dish was also good. Only negatives were: 1. table close to the entrance... Our space was constantly invaded by the long list of people awaiting to be seated who had absolutely no respect for us trying to enjoy our dinner. 2. The manager refused to give me a wine list as she was adamant she had to pick the right wine for me

Ambiente raffinato, cibo ottimo, cortesia e getilezza da parte del personale. Ci sono stato diverse volte a cena con giudizi finali decisamente positivi!

Bellissima location, personale a dir poco fantastico!!!! Il cibo ottimo!!!! Un'esperienza da rifare
