The ambience is unique classy, but never pretentious, you'll feel as if you were in someone's living room or a fine private dining room. Books and nice design artifacts are everywhere. The host is a jolly italian fellow, very friendly and professional at the same time. The food is amazing. Everything was excellent. From classic roman cuisine dishes with a twist, to original an creative platters. Everything is always extremely tasty and prepared with cure and only with the top ingredients. Unique combinations of flavor are guaranteed, and attention is paid to every detail. I seriously would recoomend this place. It might not be for everyone, don't expect a super fancy restaurant nor a cheap osteria, but you'll get a little bit of both. A fine, friendly family restaurant, with food that is a form of art. It's a unique place with really good food. It's worth the experience.
We stopped at this place as suggested by some friends on our way back from Castelgandolfo. The restaurant is made of different rooms and the setting is quite elegant. Nice music was playing from vinyl. We started with carcotto (a type of porchetta made of veal) and then two pastas (ravioli and amatriciana) and desserts. The raviolo was a bit dry and the desserts were OK. Portions were verging on small. House wine was good. What was a bit surprising was the bill: more in line with centre of Rome prices rather than the Castelli area...
Cozy environment, it makes you feel like at home. Staff really friendly and good food. Parking spot is really next to the entrance. We liked it a lot!
I had the pleasure to taste L'Oste della Bon'Ora when they were visiting chef in Rome's Eataly. Impressed by the attention the chef paid to every single customer. Cordial experience recommend a visit to their restaurant!
Been here many times in 2012. A small place with maybe 10-15 tables. The owner and his family serves you direclty. No English spoken so you should bring an Itlain speaking friend. Call him in advance so he can be sure to pick up a couple of Fiorentina steaks for you, otherwise he does not have this on the menu permanently. Anything you order here is going to be haute cuisine and they have been very consistent throughout 2012. Incredible cacio pepe ravioli. Very decent house wines. One of my favourites in the Rome area.
