The new gastronomy “Zum Bandweber” has its name from the important history of the small, East Saxony city. Already mid 19. As a small steppke that grew up in this beautiful little town, I was of course often in this house. There was no gastronomy in the 1970/80 years. This building part was empty. After the turn, some enthusiasts tried to continue with the cinema with a small bar, but the pressure of the large cinema halls in Dresden was too big, so that they were also responsible in 2010. Since then, the building was empty, and more often changed the owner (or more speculators . Nothing happened at the building, it was apparently priced its decay. As a result, the announcement of a further change of ownership was also haunted by the local press, but no one had the assumption that something was happening now. With enormous effort, the former cultural house in the heart of Großröhrsdorf was finally awakened from an almost ten years of “Dornröschen Schlaf”. Among other things, the Art Nouveau Room, which was hidden behind solid, decorative wood structures in the years of the GDR, was released. A wonderful stucco blanket provides a special flair. Up to 600 visitors can now find room in the new Röder Hall. To now entice the Großröhrsdorfer to the new restaurant, many vouchers were in the mailbox. There were 2 main dishes at the price of one. In the beginning, the storm was huge, but the 2G rules in Saxony made it sound enormous. So we also took advantage of our opportunity and ordered a table for us for a Friday night.
