I wanted to give a shoutout to one of your staff members, I believe her name tag said Khi. I came in today and expressed to her that I had had a long day, and after chatting for a bit she gave me my drink on the house. What she didn’t know is that today is my late dad’s birthday, and I was there to take a nature walk in his honor as he was an avid outdoorsman. Being a teacher, I hadn’t had time all day to think and was teary eyed by the time I approached the Speedster counter. Her gesture made my whole week better, and the kindness in her heart gave me a little more faith in humanity. The property is gorgeous, but it’s the people who make this community so special. It really is the little things. Just wanted to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart! (Please don’t get Khi in trouble for giving out a free drink—it’s good hospitality!! This is a 5* restaurant in all categories. My husband and I have been weekly diners here for nearly a year now, and I have to say it has never disappointed. The managers (Gretchen and Kristin) are top-notch as is Khila, our go-to gal at the Speedster. Food allergies? No problem here! The staff will jump through hoops to offer substitutions. In fact, the kitchen staff is accommodating to all special requests and no one ever balks at substitutions for any reason. (Ex: sweet potato fries with no salt, fresh onions instead of pickled, and dark greens instead of romaine hearts). The grilled salmon is done a spectacular pink and the greens and lettuce in the salads are always same-day fresh. It is obvious from our interactions with the staff here that they enjoy serving their guests. Their smiles and friendliness set the tone for a warm, comfortable and enjoyable experience. Surprisingly (because of the upscale ambience), the prices are reasonably moderate! We do have two suggestions: 1) Bring back the pear salad sooner rather than later! and, 2) Consider promoting Khila! She is on top of everything and, in our view, is a tremendous asset to this highly successful operation! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had a lunch reservation today, but due to a funeral this morning, I ran a bit late. When I called the restaurant, a woman answered with a simple "hello." Unsure if I had the right number, I politely asked if this was The Continental at the Ford House. Her response was curt and dismissive—she just said, "It could be." When I inquired about possibly pushing my reservation back by half an hour, her rudeness escalated, as she claimed that everyone was already requesting the same thing. Ultimately, I chose to cancel my reservation because I was so taken aback by her unprofessional demeanor. I've never experienced such disrespect before. I can only hope that she was having a rough day and doesn't usually treat customers as if they're an annoyance. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Entrees were delicious! Crab Cakes were fabulous; flavorful and beaucoup crab meat! All food items were very tasty! Cocktails were excellent; nice work on the Long Island Ice Tea!
