Kathy's Cafe - Grosse Ile

It took an hour to get our food, then they got the order wrong

Always try to eat at Kathy's Cafe when we are on Gosse Ile visiting Helen Morrison.

It's not a gourmet fusion cuisine kinda' place. It's straight and simple Michigan coffee shop fare, and it's all very good. Service is excellent. A true locals haunt with staff who remember you and treat you like family. They get their bread from the bakery just up the street which makes their toast better than any other coffee shop you'll ever eat at. I always get The Big Man Breakfast. Ham, sausage, bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast. They have the bet breakfast meats too! Even if there's a wait on the weekends it's worth it.

The service was extremely cordial and very quick in a time we were very rushed to get through breakfast. Got the build your own omelet which allows up to 6 items of choice and it was fantastic! Great food, great service. Keeps me coming back.

Had my food done in 10 minutes. Quick In and out. Prices are mediocre at best though.
