Black Bloom - Groningen

My favorite coffee spot! I come here every week, at least once. I buy my coffee bones here, so I still have a little black and blooming feeling at home. I especially like the “no laptops” policy that gives the place a special mood. The coffee is amazing; both cold and hot specialties, with milk and without. This, in combination with a beautiful piece of cake is the perfect weekly afternoon routine for me! The service is friendly and feels a bit like friends for me. So, overall for me, clearly the best coffee in the city!

I visited this café on recommendation and I must say that I was impressed. The place was crowded with guests, but the Barista sat us fast and made an order. The coffee was excellent, we tried the classic espresso and the sweet Toblerone Café Latte. Here you can buy everything related to coffee, such as Moka pots, French presses, Aero presses and of course coffee beans:

Great place to have a decent coffee. I visited this place a few times to drink a piccolo coffee. Even though I prefer the Spanish cortado (which is somewhat stronger), this coffee filled my taste. The several cakes I had on the side were also of a decent quality. The café is quite small and a little crampy. I avoid some of the seats (e.g. those in the front window) This is not a reason to visit Black Bloom.

Very knowledgeable staff, excited to talk about coffee. Some of my favourite brews I've had: light roasts that do a great job of bringing out the origin flavours of well-chosen beans. Highly recommended!
