Alpenrose Lakeside Bistro & Bar

During our 4-night stay at the resort, we had planned to dine at the restaurant multiple times. However, after our first visit, we decided not to return. Despite recommendations to book a table, the restaurant was only half full. We were efficiently seated but then had to wait a long time before we could order our drinks. When we tried to order cocktails, we were told that they were short on spirits and couldn't make them. The waiter was unsure which cocktails were available, so we had to go to the bar ourselves to find out. After another wait, we had to remind the waiter about the rest of our drinks. Our Turkish bread with dip was served to a neighboring table, where a toddler ended up spilling it. There was no apology or replacement offered. The meals were served with only a few pieces of chorizo and cold chips. The Canadian club we ordered had a strange color and anise smell, which was not characteristic of a Canadian club. We had to take it to the bar, where the bartender was surprised until he smelled it himself and replaced it for free. The food itself was okay but not worth the price. While the restaurant may claim to have limited staff, this does not excuse poor service. Kindness and a smile cost nothing.

I reluctantly decided to dine at this restaurant despite reading negative reviews. I was part of a group of 6 adults and 2 children celebrating my nephew's birthday. The young staff greeted us warmly. I ordered a pizza, thinking it would be a safe choice, and it turned out decent although the toppings were average. The children's meals came out first, but they seemed cold. Then, 3 out of 5 adult meals arrived with chips that appeared to have been cooked hours earlier and were completely cold. The other 2 adult meals were served 30 minutes later. Most of us were extremely disappointed with our meals, resulting in a lot of wasted food. When a senior lady cleared our table, she didn't make any comments or offer any assistance despite seeing the amount of uneaten food. Overall, I believe this restaurant is one of the worst places to dine at.

Very bad restaurant. the personal is unhappy. a special woman who gave the public holiday (and only wait person), was the rude person who gave zero service and stood behind the to rude look at customers as they paid. she didn't wait for tables at all....and they changed an extra 20% surcharge for a waitress! Eat was ordered and at our table we went within 5 minutes at the two places. it's a bit very wrong when you eat so fast. about expensive, annoying staff, very bad service and food to make care.

This restaurant sells knock-off Dixie brand children's cups, giving customers the false impression that they are purchasing the real thing. This unethical practice is harming children's experiences and should be rectified.

Should have been Salt Pepper Calamari, Kids Ham Cheese meal and Vegetarian Pizza but received tasteless bucket of oil
