El Paso - Gretna

Quality and quantity of food is excellent here. However, if restaurant management considers prices, the atmosphere is also a factor. I felt the prices were very high in view of the atmosphere. El Paso's is well described as a small hole in the wall restaurant attached to a bar next door. (The Dog House) You could easily drive away without knowing it was there. Due to the prices we will probably not return as there are many other comparable Mexican joints with more beautiful atmospheres and better prices. We don't regret it!

I give this restaurant 4 stars above all because the experience my husband and I had was very pleasant thanks to the waitress. We're here to eat on a Sunday afternoon. This restaurant has a lot of repairs and maintenance at this moment, so do not expect a few what non-noisy environment while you eat. If you have small children or even babies that are not used to be a noisy place, then here (at this moment) may not be suitable for your family. Our waitress was very nice and even paid attention to our 5 months old son! She was sweet. The food was pretty good. It wasn't all seasoned or salty. My food was hot and delicious, and that was also my husband. Sweet tea wasn't my favorite, but not the worst I had. The fried ice was divine! Overall, I would re-think here, but maybe after they finish the repairs and facelift.

The food was very good, especially the Mexican and Honduran-style seafood soups. Nice place to relax and enjoy your meal.

Our staff recommended this place and it has NOT disappointed! The Carne Asada was delicious and the staff was personal and efficient! 10/10 will be here again!

El Paso has a plain exterior and a basic, but clean interior. The waiter was friendly. And, to check out, you pay at the register. I ordered the ground beef enchiladas dinner with green sauce, which came with lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream on top, along with rice beans. The price was fair and the serving size was big. Better-than-average chips salsa were complimentary. My friend ordered three taco varieties, which were small, but delicious, he said. Our only complaint was the charge for water.
