They even allowed me to bring my cat in as long as he stayed in the stroller. The food was better then expected even fills you up. You get big servings. When I am back in hood river I am definitely coming again. Thanks for the wonderful experience.
First time here today we will be back. We were lucky enough to come on a weekday, so the wait time was minimal. We ordered the Ruben sandwich and “The Bomber” off the breakfast menu. Both dishes were great nice portions. You can tell the food was with fresh ingredients. Also, the fries were great! Their drink menu had alot of fun options. Our waitress was friendly and the place seemed overall clean. We enjoyed the modern music and decorations- made the place pretty unique.
I love breakfast and my favorite is eggs benedict. I have been to quite a few different restaurants around the Portland and Vancouver areas. Always on the hunt for the best eggs benedict. I have been to greasy-spoon diners to more upscale fancy brunch cafes. You've got eggs benedict on your menu, I'm there! I can say hands down Sweet Betty's Bistro is in the lead! A generous dollop of absolutely decadent hollandaise sauce. Just enough acid to balance the creaminess. I was actually pleased it took a little longer to be served. A good eggs benedict should never be rushed. The ham and english muffin were wonderfully complimentary to the star of the dish, the egg. The egg was poached to perfection with a buttery consistency. I used my hashbrown to mop up the delicious excess of yolk and hollandaise sauce. Delicious! Highly recommended If you get there before 9 am you can beat the crowd and get seated quickly. Thank you Marissa for your friendly service! The coffee was top notch, too. I look forward to going to Sweet Betty's Bistro for my second favorite breakfast dish, french toast. Raspberry swirl french toast?! Yes, please
We discovered this place a few years ago and from the moment I walked in, I knew this was my kind of place. The atmosphere is VERY inclusive and it it clear that social justice issues are very important to the owner. It always feels like a safe place!! The food is very tasty and service is always fast and friendly. I bring my mom in here weekly (as much as possible and we always try to sit in the section where Jennifer is. She is so great : I recently saw the advertisements for the drag/ burlesque and the drag/ comedy shows. I am so sad to have missed them both and I hope they have more going forward!! (Oh and you can't go wrong with ANY of the soups...YUMMY!!
We had a great meal with our family. The steak and eggs were delicious.
