Il Sapore - GREGORY HILLS

After reading some large reviews, we were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The waitstaff seemed unaware of what was included in our order, and we had to repeatedly ask for more drinks. The food was average at best; the garlic was flavorless and tasted like a bowl of olives. The meat on the antipasto Italian board tasted like pre-packaged meat from the grocery store, rather than freshly sliced as we had hoped. The olives and marinated vegetables were lacking in flavor and served cold when they should have been warm. Everything seemed to come from pre-packaged sources rather than being freshly marinated and prepared in-house. The pizza was average, with a decent base but was overly greasy. We will now be on the lookout for a better Italian restaurant in the area.

I really wish I could have a better assessment, but just not. we are really looking for simple nice Italian food. dinner for us 2 was quite average Thursday night outside. only had net so basic and blande a calf not creamy...as in the rule made, but arta gelee n watery as . not tasty, then average pasta meal.

We went to the NYE dinner and had arancini balls for the appetizer which were delicious and the sauce was amazing. For the main course, we had fettuccine boscaiola, spinach and ricotta ravioli, and a fresh garden salad. Everything was filling, tasty, and fresh with no flaws. The dining experience could be considered fine dining, although the restaurant atmosphere feels more like a cafe. We would definitely visit again.

We have take away from here nearly every week and often eat in. The service is always absolutely excellent! The home made pasta is outstanding with delicious authentically made Italian style sauces. We love trying the weekly specials too. The scampi is delicious and the...pizzas are are perfect. I also love the veal with mushroom sauce as well as the spinach and ricotta agnolotti with butter and sage sauce. Very highly recommended and amazing value for money. Definitely worth a try!

Three of us ate at this restaurant last Friday night. The water delivered to the table was tap not filtered not good enough. My friends ordered the scallopini from the blackboard which they said was delicious and a good range of vegetables. However the...veal looked like it had been cut on a slicing machine. I ordered prawn and mushroom rissoto. A side plate of parmesan chilli oil was served. The prawns were tasteless, the mushrooms sliced for a pizza and the rice totally tastless, thank heavens for the chilli oil. Not good enough.
