First, the quality of the garlic rolls is second to none. The rolls were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Beware, you will eat too many and spoil your dinner. I had the chicken Marsala with fettuccine. The fettuccine was perfectly al dente and the chicken was deliciously seasoned in a white wine mushroom sauce. I ate half of it, due to eating too many of the aforementioned garlic rolls, and took half of it home to eat for lunch the next day.
I don’t usually posts review on Google but felt compelled after the awful pasta dish I had from DellaVentura in Greer SC. This was my first (and last) meal at DellaVentura Pizzeria. I ordered the Baked Ziti with meat sauce and added a meatball Italian sausage for take out. It was absolutely tasteless bland, virtually no marinara sauce. I ate about six bites and threw the rest in the trash. Very disappointing! I don’t know how their pizza is but the baked ziti was lousy. After reading several of the reviews prior to ordering I believed I would have a delicious meal but unfortunately not. I won’t be back.
This place has incredible pizza!!! Better if you eat it there, but great either way!
We tried a pepperoni pizza as well as sausage and mushroom calzone. The place reminds me of some restaurants I tried in Ohio. It was really good. I liked the calzone better than the pizza but that’s just me. Will definitely go back but likely only for takeout. We ended up taking at least 2-1/2 hrs to eat as it took a long time including the wait to be seated as a big group came in and was seated in our area. After that we didn’t see the waitress anymore until we paid. It was worth it but the service could have been better.
