My partner and I love this restaurant so much, beautiful host and beautiful, beautiful food. Love this restaurant so much
Called in to Sazio's on Friday night with no booking but plenty of spare tables. The restaurant was chilly inside so might pay to be warmer dressed when you go. A specials board and wine prices written on the walls so trying to look a bit like a quaint cafe. My wife and I shared the seafood platter for 2 for a starter and then had Pasta dishes for main course. The platter was tasty with Oyster, prawn kebabs and Crumbed calamari, all cooked beautifully but more than 1 oyster each would have been better. The main courses were very filling so perhaps that is the idea of the smaller starter and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Second visit to this restaurant. Last time was approx 8 mths ago.First time was great. This time I was disappointed. Main course was saltimbocca. The meat part was tasteless and lacked flavour. It was accompanied by a bland potato mash and lots of basic salad (mostly iceberg lettuce and tomatoes).Dessert was creme brulee which enjoyable. Long black coffee arrived well before the dessert and was weak, not particularly hot and of poor quality.I will give them the benefit of the doubt and revisit on my next trip to Adelaide in the hope that tonight was a once off experience.
The restaurant has a small and poorly planned dining area, but the delicious food more than makes up for it. All the dishes are authentic Italian cuisine. When we ordered bread, appetizers, and main courses, we realized it was too much food. Despite not being able to finish it all, we enjoyed every dish as they were all delicious. The service was good and the staff were pleasant.
