Vietnam Oriental Chinese - Greenwich

On a cold day in Greenwich, my friends and I decided to warm up with a visit to Vietnam Oriental for some Vietnamese cuisine. It was my first time trying Vietnamese food, and I must say, I really enjoyed it. We ordered a variety of dishes including Manchow soup, egg fried rice, an authentic pork dish, chicken fried rice, and pork bao. As a huge fan of Chinese cuisine and dim sum, I found the pork bao to be just okay compared to my favorite chicken dishes and grilled meats. However, I do think it was tastier than Korean dim sum. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful and the service was wonderful. Overall, I had a great experience trying Vietnamese cuisine for the first time at Vietnam Oriental in Greenwich.

Vietnam Oriental is located on a hidden street just around the corner from Jaimes. The prices at this restaurant are a bit unusual, with soups priced very cheaply at 2-4 pounds, but main dishes slightly more expensive compared to competitors Nudelzeit and Taiwan Mine. The interior design is pleasant yet somewhat subdued, but the staff is very polite and the food is delicious.

Despite its misleading name, dining at Vietnam Oriental is a truly authentic and well-prepared experience. However, it is important to note that the cuisine is not purely Vietnamese. Those expecting a traditional Vietnamese menu may be slightly disappointed, as the selection primarily consists of various Southeast Asian dishes, with a focus on Chinese cuisine. That being said, the Chinese dishes are top-notch, as evidenced by the many Chinese customers dining there during our visit. The restaurant is conveniently located beneath the National Maritime Museum Gardens in Greenwich. While the decor may not be particularly noteworthy, the attentive staff more than makes up for it.

Vietnam oriental is found hidden by the high road around the corner of jaimes. it is a strange restaurant when it comes to its prices, as the suppen are very cheap, of pfund, but the main dishes are a little more expensive than rival nudelzeit and tai wan mine. the interior design was nice when a little subduing, but the staff was very polite and eating was amazing!

The day I visited greenwich was very cold. So we went after a day of freezing and simultaneous visit to vietnam oriental. Now this was the first time that I tasted Vietnamese cuisine. but I enjoyed it very much. we had a manchow suppe, egg fried rice, an authentic pork dish, chicken fried rice and pork bao. with some Coca-Cola.Now I am a huuuggee fan of Chinese cuisine and I love dimsums. a lot! I thought the pork bao was okay compared to my favorite chicken diets or grilled down there. I've tasted korean dimsums. and I thought the bao was tastizer as that. although not as tasty as Chinese dimsums. The ambiente at this site was nice and the service was good with friendly staff. If I lived there, I would probably go back there, but as I do not recommend to the people who visit greenwich.
