Alpen Pantry - Greenwich

My husband and I tried Alpen Pantry for the first time. It was absolutely phenomenal! My favorite sandwich place in town is something natural and this place could hit it for #1. I am 6 months pregnant and the man behind the counter was super patient and creative helped me to choose a non-deli meat sandwich (I went with chicken salad with lots of vegetables on black bread). My husband got the Italian and he was incredibly impressed. All ingredients are super fresh and the sandwiches are well constructed. We will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm here for the first time. I have lived in Greenwich all my life and cannot believe that it has taken me so long to discover this absolute GEM. I love when a place focuses on one thing and makes it right. For apses it is the cold sandwiches and they do it the BEST. The sandwiches are very simple, but details such as dressings of scratches, tearing of the cold cuts when putting on bread, and the finely chopped salad make it excellent. Your Black Bread, Pumpernickel, is soft and damp like cakes. I tried 3 of her fan favorites; The Stilton, The Bomber and The Bearnaise. I can honestly say they were all amazing. I can't wait to go back to try the whole menu. I know their sandwiches sound so basic, I thought, but that's what it does. If you're in the Old Greenwich area, this is a HAVE TO TRY. That's great! So hard to choose a favorite sandwich because they are all so good, but the Gobbler and the classic Italian are usually my Go-to's! Also love the new market articles they added. They had some cute gift baskets around the holiday season that made for perfect hostess gifts. The new owners are so sweet and you can say they are very passionate about what they do! Can't recommend this place enough!

Frannie and Drew (the new owners) do a good job with this sandwich shop. I cost several sandwiches at this point and they're all delicious. There is a really cool atmosphere, and it's really special. If you are looking for a top-notch sandwich experience, don't look further than Alpen Pantry. This is the best sandwich place.

Great place! They are giving the other sandwich shops in the area a serious run for their money I recommend all the Turkey sandwiches!
