We love this place, but yesterday the “Special pie” was the elote pizza and it was: chef kisses: perfect! also the deconstructed cheesecake is amazing!
I wanted to like this place because we had such an amazing time in the hotel part of the company, the woodhouse lodge. Unfortunately, the experience here was quite terrible. it was clear that there might have been some personal problems or maybe some employees still learned the bele. the eating was average - some ingredients of the meal were good, but oregano does not belong to a margarita pizza sprinkled. what really ruined our night was all that happened after we had ordered the desert. we said there was only one cheesecake. That's good. then our server came back to notify us that there was actually also a chocolate cake! okay, that sounded better. 30 minutes to foot, no one makes eye contact with us, our server has gone from our table many paints. Finally we mark another server that looked like the manager who did not show much interest in us, but said he would check on the desert. more time passes, finally our server comes to our table and says quietly “there is nothing more”. what? it was the strangest way to tell us that they were out of something they went out there to tell us they had it. no excuse, no explanation. what has happened in the last 30 minutes since we had ordered gloomy? okay, we take the cheesecake (which was terrible). after two bites - had a bad taste in my mouth literally and figuratiw. I know everything is happening. but they really missed the sign on a few hospitality bases. Maybe if the manager had come to explain what happened or offered to compose the desert. I would be definitiw back to the hotel, but would be 100% not back to woodhouse pizza.
Because in such a boobish position was the rhymes of the food and cocktails excellent. the wine list is also wide and everyone we tried was great, including the orange wines that were new to me. great with the pizzas. the location is also wonderful, set at the rande of the mountain forest, eat them with a background of trees with the smell of campfire swimming through. a real tasty bite.
As usual the food was great and the service (Khalifah) was spot on! It’s always nice that Tim comes out to chat with everyone about how things are going and if he can help in any way. Pork belly pizza was incredible.
