Chophouse '47 - Greenville

I have deleted my original review of chophouse which reflected my initial experience as a first time visitor, and created this review which I believe is a true reflection of how this restaurant operates. I want to give Adam (owner/operator), Kenny (our server), and the rest of the staff the credit they deserve for going above and beyond to make sure our opinion was noted and heard. The food is great, the service is great, and I highly recommend for anyone looking for an upscale restaurant within the Greenville area. The lengths at which they went to give us a memorable night spoke volumes, and we look forward to visiting them again in the future. Thank you for a dinner we won’t soon forget.

Oh no... I knew what I was signing up for when I agreed to go. It's a very pricey steakhouse located off the highway in an industrial area alongside other chain restaurants. I'm not one to follow the crowd; I refuse to settle for mediocre meals at exorbitant prices. What is going on with Greenville? The issue is that many diners seem to accept mediocrity because they haven't experienced truly great restaurants. Nothing lived up to expectations—undercooked meat, poorly made drinks, undercooked fish. They did remove a few items from the bill, and the staff was decent, but the food? Come on!

The food at this restaurant is always exceptional, but what truly makes it one of my favorites is the outstanding service. The staff consistently work together seamlessly to ensure that you and your guests are well taken care of. While it's common for restaurant staff to want diners to leave satisfied, this place leaves me feeling like my meal was more than just a casual gathering or a special occasion. Every time I visit, I leave with a smile, confident that the experience will be just as fantastic as before. The fact that this level of consistency has been maintained for over 20 years speaks volumes about the Chophouse '47 approach. Would I highly recommend Chophouse '47 to anyone in search of a remarkable dining experience? Absolutely, without hesitation! I just hope this review won't make it harder for me to secure a reservation in the future...

After having left a rather scathing review due to the restaurant being overbooked for New Years and waiting for over an hour then giving up and leaving...then Adam, Operations Manager, called me a few days later to apologize for the unfortunate evening 's experience. Hoped we would considered coming back at a future date to give them another chance. We will return. Any establishment that goes out of it 's way to smooth the ruffled feathers of good customers deserves to be given another opportunity to make it right. Thank You, Adam!

We adore this restaurant! The food is simply fantastic. During our recent visit on New Year's Eve, I tried the garlic chicken, and it was delicious—tender and a generous portion. The cheesy mashed potatoes were also incredible. I ordered an espresso martini, which was excellent as well. On our previous visit, I had the filet, and it was consistently delicious. We always request Patrick as our server because he is wonderful!
