Sushi Hana - Greenville

My family visited this sushi restaurant multiple times and it was our favorite when we lived in Greenville. The sushi was always fresh and delicious. We even had it delivered during COVID times.

Although there are superior sushi spots in Greenville, I still believe this restaurant ranks in the top three. It's a great choice for a romantic evening out, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for a special celebration. The food is generally good, the location is decent, and the atmosphere is pleasant.

I've visited Sushi Hana several times, but this will be my last visit. The service was terrible and they didn't seem to care! When we took our seats, we were just one of four parties in the entire restaurant. The 'Koch' behind the sushi bar continued and entertained those who were sitting right in front of him when he was completely ignored commands for people sitting at the tables. Oh, besides a table, they seemed to be friends of our server, came well after us, and of course they got their food before everyone else. Our entrees finally made it after several complaints at our table in To-Go boxes, as we watched him how we prepare him the boatloads of Sushi for his immediate audience. The sad part is that the food we get to eat (apps, etc. were fantastic (can not blew edamame . If you go, sit right under its nose and I am sure you have a much better experience.

My husband and I were treated to a date at Sushi Hana and received a gift certificate from a friend. We tried the house cold sake and a variety of sushi. Overall, the food was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised to receive complementary items after we finished our meal. The music was a little too loud for our liking, but the service was fantastic. We appreciated that the restaurant was not overcrowded or hectic.

The Shrimp Tempura was tasty but the shrimp were skinny and little. Very disappointing!
