The Halyard - GREENPORT

Pretty solid. The reviews here are not super high, not really sure why. The size of the dishes is quite small, while the price is high. Otherwise, I can't think of a certain problem.

The view is great, simply furnished, served and packed to take. We ate inside. The lobster roller was on a beautifully baked and roasted bungalow. It was heavy and had a little sweet taste. The Gespacho was a purée with peaches and plums. Pretty Pricey. Paid for the view.

We had a great dinner last night at Halyard! It was my first time at the Hotel Sound View and I was blown away from the surroundings. Really spectacular views and one of the best sunsets I've ever seen. We ordered the hummus appetizer that was not like traditional hummus, but was absolutely delicious! I had the fuke and my husband had the tuna and both ducks were excellent? perfectly cooked and delicious. Passionfruit sangria was so good! Very recommended? especially at sunset!

There is a reason why this must go to the restaurant it knocks out of the park in every way! Starting from the view, this is a large, open and airy dining area with a glass wall facing the water, so that everyone thinks of the ocean waves. The food is at the upper end of the price scale, but deserves every piece of it a great selection that are skillfully prepared and delicious. And there is no lack of employees who pay attention to you. Another bonus occasional John plays piano in the bar next door and is so talented that you could confuse him for Billy Joel or Elton John. After a few drinks take him on his offer of karaoke, but don't worry, he is ready to fill these high grades for you if you need help!

I was here for a special event including dinner and dancing. The food was excellent, it was a buffet style for the event, and the floors were great for dancing. There was plenty of room for all of us plus the band, the acoustics sounded fine, and all the restaurant and event staff were very polite and professional to use. I had a great time here!
