Contribuiți la feedbackCarnegie's has the best atmosphere of any restaurant I've been in to date. The food is always amazing, as are the servers. The owner is really great (my husband's family has been going there for years . My husband and I always think we should branch out, but with the combo of the above, plus affordability of it compared to similar places with much worse atmosphere (and hard to get to like downtown Indy , make us come back time and time again for date night. Why go anywhere else? The New York steak and red pepper soup (to die for!! are our go-to's!
Excellent food and great prices. First time visit, as I never seem to be in Greenfield at night. The restaurant opens at 5pm. Today was the day! The salmon was delicious, as was the mushroom risotto, with a few varieties of mushrooms. The asparagus was petite and also very tasty. I told all of the bread was made in house, it too was delicious. Service was quick, friendly and awesome! I would highly recommend. I was told that the upstairs can be rented for functions, and is also equipped with a full kitchen. The back of the building contains a wood fire oven, which is where the bread is made. Groups of 10 or more can also have a pizza experience there with reservations. What an awesome place.
The soup came to the table tepid at best. The drinks were good. My daughter had the Beef Medallions that she said were excellent. My husband had the Striped Bass which he thoroughly enjoyed. I, however, ordered the Chicken Picatta which was supposed to be served with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. It came with a half over baked potato and sautéed spinach which both were poorly cooked. The chicken was covered by the spinach for some reason, as it already has mushrooms. The chicken was tender but not very flavorful. The plating was not done well.Chattering became loud with people trying to be heard over the piano. The piano playing was good, however, the place was really too small to accommodate a piano and conversation. The ambiance was nothing special, seemed more like a bar than fine dining. It was dark and unmistakably a basement. We were actually surprised to find it was in a basement, as the ad had no mention of it. My husband has Parkinson's but we managed the steps. We may have reconsidered had we known.I will say the service was excellent, better than most!Portions were good; prices were fair.
Absolutely fantastic every time we've eaten there. We requested a special dessert, the crepes, and got lemon curd and filling. The steaks are so tender and wonderful. Always different specials, my husband said the swordfish was fantastic.Great service, and excellent prices for what you get.
Very nice eating establishment for special occasions. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and the dishes. Would recommend a place with a good ambience and awesome staff.
