Contribuiți la feedbackOn 09-07-2019, my wife and I were in Greencastle, PA, shopping and decided to have lunch at the John Allison Public House. My wife wanted to sit in the bar area. We each ordered an entree and an unsweetened tea. The only request we had was for our fries to be well done. The food came out about 25 minutes later and we both enjoyed our meals. However, when we asked for the check, we were surprised to see that we were charged an extra $2.50 for the special request of well done fries. We were taken aback by this charge as we often request crispy fries at other restaurants without any additional cost. The waitress should have informed us of the extra charge for the crispy fries when we made the request. Despite the good service and food, the unexpected charge for the fries left a negative impression. It's unclear if we would return to this restaurant due to this additional cost. If you choose to dine here, be cautious about making any special requests that may come with an extra charge. Good luck!
The food at this restaurant was not only terrible in taste but also overpriced. The owner was seen drinking and being overly friendly with customers. There was an older woman at the bar who seemed more interested in her phone than serving customers. Additionally, the bartender was constantly on his phone, which was unprofessional. The staff was rude and unpleasant. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience and will not be returning to this restaurant.
This place was formerly excellent. But our last visit was a nightmare. The order of a person was not in stock - they were informed what the rest of our food was brought to the table and left them with nothing to eat. My husband's burger was pure coal, my steak was thin and all salt and dimples. Completely impossible! The one person finally got a hard plate of the main rib when the rest of us finished eating - not in any way a pleasant and well-guided experience. We loved this restaurant for JAHRE, but that? That was a nightmare that was unworthy to your worst enemy. A feast became an ordeal and destroyed our night. We will not return.
High prices for terrible tasting food. The owner drank and cuddled with the customers. There was an older woman behind the bar with her phone and on. And also the bar call was on his phone. Not very professional! The staff was rude and evil. I'll never eat there again. Disappointed!
The Antrim House has changed owners a few times in recent years, but it has definitely improved. The food is great and the atmosphere is getting better. Their fried chicken is the best around. It is the top place to eat in Greencastle.
