New Deal Cafe - Greenbelt

Live music! The food isn't that awesome, and it can be a little slow at the front counter sometimes. However it is a local staple. Healthy smoothies, some vegan options, beer and wine. Moreover you have the constant stream of art exhibits and live music. You don't go to New Deal for fine dining. You go because at least it's dining, but dining in a fine festive, artistic venue. 16 years and counting and this is still a top destination for the family.

Nice place for decent and somewhat cheap food. Coffee selections seem to be a bit steep in price though. Good for a quick bite.

This charming and eclectic community coffee house embodies the classic café atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to enjoy slam poetry, live music, expertly crafted espresso, and a warm, wholesome vibe. The crowd here is diverse and friendly, making it an inviting place to relax and connect with others.

In the last week did both dine-in and carry-out, and both were equally excellent. The vegan fried chicken sandwich is delicious, and I choose it over the real chicken. Sides, desserts, and smoothies are all wonderful. Seating outside, in a quieter front room, and in a back music venue and bar.

This place is a treasure. Good vegan choices and some for everyone. Good entertainment too.
