Shingle Inn - GREENACRE

I believe they have one of the best coffees at Macquarie ctr. Also had carrot cake, again one of the best I've had, fresh and nutty. The time before I took my granddaughter and they made her feel welcome. On that occasion I had scones....They were fresh and large, and they have 2 scones per person! Yum My daughter had a macca mango shake. It was yum. We did have to ask what macca was, a superfood (they happily showed us the packet). Looking forward to trying more from the extensive menu, possibly the sour dough melts.

This café is a unique combination of an "upscale" burger joint and a café that offers sandwiches and decadent cakes. Located close to fashion shops in Top Ryde, it is not currently listed on the Top Ryde website. The cakes here are a standout choice. My avocado, camembert, and chicken sandwich was deliciously roasted. The mint julep I had was overly sweet. However, the food and presentation were not worth the high price. Overall, it was a somewhat strange experience.

The staff was friendly, but the front desk got our order wrong, so we had to go back up to order a different child's meal. The service was very slow and the portions were on the smaller side. It's good for a snack, but not suitable for lunch. The children's servings were extremely small, almost suitable for a baby rather than a 10-year-old. The food was edible but very basic.

I had a quiet morning at this restaurant, enjoying a delicious cup of freshly brewed coffee and hot scones with butter, cream, and strawberry jam. The staff was working solo, but they were able to handle at least six more customers. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely be returning here a couple more times.

Went on the search for coffee and eat on Sunday afternoon and most places in the upper level of the macquarie centre were completely wandered through the shopping center until I found what looked like a beautiful place with some sesseln before. Menu...retrieved okay, although notice that some elements have egressed (saves people ask for them I suspect, but looks kitschig). decadent, tasty, deserved seemed to be her motto, but I couldn't get anything decadent on the menu cake looked quite normal! served all day breakfast, which can appeal to some. what I suspect was a new girl that was taught to repeat disorders, although they clearly show on the screen against the customer. she was pleasant, and after I said all three times, I sat back on my order. it was a very quiet Sunday dinner time filled with only about four more tables, as far as I could see, so not sure whether the staff takes the dinge to fill the time or simply put it very well, but whatever the reason why the coffee lasted long to reach me. that was worth it, there is no doubt about it. I had eggs benedict (paris,) which was advertised as on slightly roasted sourdough and it was! so many places seem to think that if they bury the toast, then they can burn it, but shingle inn obviously not under this group. I suspect that the Hollandaise sauce came out of a bottle, as it seemed to be consistent to be homemade, but whatever the brand it was good. it is located between lowes and target so quiet towards the center that can fit many. If you don't want anything special, it's worth the trek, and I'd come back, but not especially.
