The outside is well illuminated and it stands out like a jewel in an otherwise somewhat drab area. I dropped in here while I was passing through the area and had read the existing Yelp reviews. There were no current or even recent ones, so I figured I 'd give it a fair shake. I mainly noticed that the menu had well over 100 items on it which is usually a red flag for me in a smallish restaurant. I ordered, on suggestion from my wait person, some honey walnut shrimp. I also ordered a shrimp spring roll, and a cup of green tea. The walnut shrimp was quite literally drown in some kind of syrup, which I assume is a combo of sugar and corn syrup. It had nothing to do with honey. I tried one of these preserved-in-amber fellas and it was too sweet to taste shrimp. I used my napkins to soak up the goo from the rest but it was a lost cause. This wasn 't the bad part though. The Shrimp Spring Roll was... Well... Quite plain. Another instance of, 'wait, there 's shrimp in there? '... But this wasn 't the problem. The problem was that it came with a peanut sauce that was fully separated, and smelled of feet. Not exaggerating. I told my wait person this, and she told me it was due to the fish sauce they used in it. I cook with a lot of fish sauce... And this was a combination of rancid and fermented. The top of the sauce poured off like an egg yolk, the bottom like a turd. Unfortunately... My hungry brain was unaware that peanut sauce could rot in a styrofoam ramakin, so I ate some of it unthinkingly. It has been about two hours, and I 'm still writing this from the loo of my hotel. But hey! Nice ambiance! The service was lousy too. Sorry Chopstix. I tried. Worst $30 meal of 2021.
Flabby, poorly cooked potstickers. Tasteless soup. Huge portions of gooey stuff. And servers who act like you are bothering them. What's not to like? There is a lot better Chinese food to be found in Green River.
When they first opened this place was awesome. Unfortunately, it has gone down hill. First it took 30 minutes to get a drink. Then when the waiter took orders he took 4 tables at once without turning in tickets. We were the first order and it was 20 minutes before ha had all of the orders taken. We were there 50 minutes before food. I ordered a soup that came out extremely hot And had shrimp in it that unfortunately became rubber because it kept cooking. I would guess it was microwaved but do not know. However, the broth had good flavor. My wife ordered a tuna jalapeño roll and it was good not great. That said, I overheard a conversation with someone and the waiter that seemed to be trying to train the wait staff I hope it works.
Terrible! Got busted for using slave labor and every time I go there the service is awful the food is bad and I get the sh_ts! Don't say I didn't warn ya
Stopped in here to eat while traveling through the area. It was this option or another farther in town and a local chose this one over the other. I am glad she did. They have various combo plates that come with rice, soup, egg roll and entree. We choose beef and broccoli and was the beef ever tender. I ordered two egg rolls and soup and with those items, we had a fulfilling dinner, with great service and tasty food. Others around us were all taking home left overs, showing that portion size is big. The place also offers sushi rolls and hibachi entries.
