Spencer's For Steaks And Chops

Salads were fabulous. I had lamb chops. They were cooked perfectly but were swimming in a Demi glacé sauce. That was just okay. The Caesar Brussell Sprouts with Parmesan and breadcrumbs were not very good. Dry. Too much stuff on them. Simply roasted sprouts with oil, salt and pepper would have been much better. Wine, coffees and drink was very good.

As always, the Mrs and I were seated in our preferred spot and well served throughout our visit. The confit chicken wings are a welcome addition to the menu—their dipping sauce (with which we were generously supplied) was also very nice with the asparagus. It will be hard not to order them together in future. Our compliments to the sommelier for keeping reasonably-priced, interesting Old World wines in stock.

Large party with multiple steaks way over cooked (sent 3 back and asked for 1 of 3 to be comped but manager declined since they recooked...no big deal wasn't trying to get a handout but thought if nearly half party had to sit and wait on recooks the least they could do was comp 1 of 3), poor presentation and to top it off server pocketed nearly $900 in cash and tried to add it on as a tip to cover it. Enjoyed the company and time with friends but avoid this place at all costs!

We had an early 5 pm reservation and enjoyed a wonderful meal with fabulous service in a quiet relaxed atmosphere which was a welcome respite from the noise and energy of the College World Series. Mike, our personable waiter, was very accommodating and made sure we were out the door for the 5 minute walk to the Charles Schwab Field for the 6 pm game. Just be sure to have your reservation in advance! I had the scallops special and my husband enjoyed the steak frites. Prosecco and the wedge salad completed our delicious meal. We always hit Spencer's when we are in Omaha!

Got the Spencer Steak and it was phenomenal! The waiter was super helpful in recommending items and the host was also super helpful in taking pictures of my partner since we were celebrating our anniversary. He also explained future parking since we could not find the customer parking areas.
