California Tacos More - Green Meadows

This restaurant is in my childhood neighborhood so I came back after many years for nostalgia purposes. The beef nachos with flour tortilla chips are top-tier! Great customer service by Juan as well.

This place has went downhill. It's not what you seen on the food network years back. I used to frequent this place 5+ years ago. It is not even comparable. Their fried tacos are thick like bread and dry now. The meat (beef) is bland. I tried to bring up the flavor with sour cream and their sauces. No success. Not worth 10 bucks per taco.

So firstly the staff and atmosphere are fine no complaints on that front.However, this place was really disappointing, we were told when we moved here that we had to try it so it was one of the first food places we went to. On our first visit, we got a burrito and mixed chips Nachos. I don 't remember what type of meat on either cause it wasn 't memorable, I know I didn 't finish the Nachos (not that strange, it was a large portion) but I didn 't take the leftovers home cause it wasn 't really worth it. The mixed chips was the most interesting part but we have since had them at other places, so they 've lost their novelty.The second visit was a couple months after the first, and technically it was food. We got a pulled pork Cali Taco and pulled pork soft Taco. The soft Taco was a small flour tortilla, unseasoned pulled pork, lettuce, and shredded cheese for $5. The Cali Taco was a little better but mostly they both tasted like cheese. We doused it in the green sauce but that didn 't improve it much and for the price I would have liked a hint of some sort of Seasoning, tomatoes, or onion. Just something. And maybe their pulled pork is known for being super bland, cooked fine but bland, we don 't know.We are going to ask our friends who recommended this place what they enjoyed here and maybe give it one more try getting that but so far this place is not worth any of the hype.

The employees made everything worth it. They were fantastic, super nice. We tried the California taco and unfortunately, it is lacking. That said, the ingredients separately were very good. I suggest getting something else OTHER than the California taco, and you'll be fine.I did try the raspberry daiquiri and it was mostly alcohol, I didn't taste the raspberry.The portions are huge, so you'll definitely have some to take home!

Can't even describe the disappointment I felt when I received what were allegedly supreme nachos.
