Hot Million - Greater Shepparton

I ordered takeaway from this restaurant for the first time recently. The minimum spend of $50 was very steep so I had high hopes for the quality of the food. The results were mixed. I ordered a variety of breads and they were all lovely. However the other three dishes - kadai chicken, veg manchurian and biryani - tasted different and exotic but not something I would order again. Perhaps I just have a very Western palate.

Came to the Hot Million last week with a business colleague as we were looking for something exotic and spicy. The restaurant was quiet as it was a Wednesday night and we arrived at 6:15pm. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and seated us quickly, presented the menus and sorted our drinks out. The appeal of the restaurant was charming, nicely set out and very clean. It had that beautiful aroma that only Indian restaurants can achieve. I could picture the place buzzing on a Saturday night and the place filled with noise, laughter and delicious food smells. We ordered the Beef Samosas and Battered Tandoori Chicken for entree. They were freshly cooked and very nice. For mains we had a Beef Vindaloo each, Large rice with peas & Garlic Naan Bread. Again, nice sized portions, with plenty of meat in the Vindaloo's. I had the hot and my colleague the medium. Both were as described heat wise. The Kingfisher beers complimented the food perfectly. The price was reasonable too. $89 For 2x entree's, 2x mains large rice, garlic naan, 4x beers and 2x soft drinks.I would recommend Hot Million to all lovers of spice. Definitely visit again soon.

We loved the great Indian food at the Hot Million, very reasonably priced, good service and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Read the reviews and went with high expectations. Ordered for two, waited over an hour, gave up and am now at Maccas. We were not the only couple to walk out. Restaurant was only half full. No excuse. Sorry!

We had a quick lunch and found the service and meal excellent and all at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit if you like Indian food
