Chuck's Roadhouse Grill

The food is tasty, not exceptional but reasonably priced. It's a great spot to visit with friends for some drinks and a meal.

My first time at Chucks Roadhouse was a disappointment and I will not be returning. Despite reading negative reviews, I decided to give it a try for a date night. Unfortunately, I wish we had gone somewhere else. Although the restaurant was not busy, we waited over 20 minutes to be served and our appetizer took over 40 minutes to arrive. The tempura shrimp was overcooked and our surf and turf dinner took over an hour, with the steak being well done instead of medium and the lobster tail rubbery. The corn on the cob advertised on the menu was actually steamed frozen corn. The restaurant was also not very clean, with dust everywhere, dirty napkins on the floor, streaked windows, and a dirty bathroom with soap and paper towel dispensers on the floor. I had high expectations for this place but was sorely disappointed. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant if you are looking for a nice dinner.

This place is getting better. For two years, this place went downhill. Decided to try it again, and after 3 visits, it's time to say they are doing better. The steak was an 8, and the loaded cheese fries also got an 8. The salad still needs work at 5. But I make my own homemade dressing, so it's tough to beat something you make yourself. Good news to be able to get better food. Things are looking up. I've been told the carrot cake is to die for, but I didn't have room to finish, let alone have room for a desert.

Not a bad place. Great chilled beer. Between 11 and 5 the beer is $4. Decent staff. Decent service. Definitely better than Kingston.
