Afghan Rahimi Restaurant

I was very encouraged to discover that they were avoiding cross contamination and they make their own GF bread and desserts. Everything was tasty and a new cusine for me. I have never enjoyed eggplant until I tried it here. I would encourage coeliacs to give it a go.

We walked in on Mothers Day without a booking but they managed to still take us. The set deals are amazing. Food was absolutely delicious and service was very good. We had the owner come and talk to us and share some stories. A very pleasant experience indeed!

The food was very fresh and tasty. The staff were very attentive and the owner was more than welcoming. This is a great restaurant and you will not be disappointed. The different flavours were very refreshing.

The minute I walked in I felt like I was not in Melbourne but in some restaurant in Kabul. This place really takes you right there. The decor, the settings, the staff, the ambience and the presentation were really amazing. However, after hearing and reading so much reviews I was somewhat disappointed with the food. We ordered the banquet which was plentiful but lacking in taste and some overcooked and soggy. The eggplant was reasonable but they seem to cook everything with mint which overpowers the flavour. Overall I am glad I gave this place a try but it's not a restaurant I would be going back anytime soon.
