Grates Cove Studios at Harbour View Inn

We stayed 4 nights in Harbour House rental, ate lunch at the restaurant, and had a seaweed bath experience. Everything was OUTSTANDING! Our favourite stop in our 2 week visit to NL! The hiking and the scenery is unique. Special thank you to Bev for being awesome!

We called Terrance and he opened the restaurant for us! We enjoyed a Newfoundland/ Louisiana/ Korean fusion meal that was unlike anything we have eaten before. Simply Unreal!!

We loved our stay at Grates Cove Studio. The house had everything we needed and more. The views from our bedroom and dining room were spectacular. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, and the food in their restaurant was delicious.

Extremely disappointed. We made a reservation 2 months in advance and upon arrival, we were informed that our table had been placed in the basement due to a cooking class booking in the main restaurant. We felt very disrespected and made our dissatisfaction known to the staff, but they remained indifferent to our concerns. We will not be returning to this restaurant. This was the only negative experience we had during our trip to Newfoundland in the past three weeks.

I had one of the best and most surprising culinary experiences in Newfoundland at this restaurant. The Cajun style food was beautifully presented, delicious, and creative. The charming environment and friendly (and fascinating!) owner made the experience even more enjoyable. It's definitely worth the trip, and they even deliver to St. John's. I returned for a weekend getaway and stayed at their comfortable accommodation. We also tried the seaweed bath and zodiac tours they organized, which were a lot of fun. It truly felt like being part of a family!
