Grates Cove Studios at Harbour View Inn

Tons of great options but service was a little slow for my family.

I would give zero stars but it won’t let memy friends and i came to this applebee’s to get food in between shows we perform in our high school.

I had one of the best and most surprising culinary experiences in Newfoundland at this restaurant. The Cajun style food was beautifully presented, delicious, and creative. The charming environment and friendly (and fascinating!) owner made the experience even more enjoyable. It's definitely worth the trip, and they even deliver to St. John's. I returned for a weekend getaway and stayed at their comfortable accommodation. We also tried the seaweed bath and zodiac tours they organized, which were a lot of fun. It truly felt like being part of a family!

The cooking at The Grate is excellent. The fusion of the owners' Louisiana and Newfoundland heritages results in delicious food. The menu is creative, with dishes like Seafood Étouffée and Dirty Rice that impressed us. Dining with a stunning view of the bay while hearing about the owners' background was truly a unique experience. The Open Studio is a foodie's paradise. Don't miss it.
