Contribuiți la feedbackEdwards Market is now under new management, and since I haven't visited in a few weeks, I can't say whether it's improved or declined. I dined there before the management change, and although it was a bit on the expensive side, the food was outstanding. The service was great too; I absolutely love the waitress, she is fantastic. The dinner I had was truly delicious!
The layout of the restaurant isn't ideal—the tables are too large for the space, making it uncomfortable for smaller parties. On a positive note, the person making the pizza appeared to enjoy his work, but unfortunately, the rest of the staff seemed indifferent to customer satisfaction, displaying rudeness and a lack of helpfulness. Additionally, the names of the sandwiches were written in large, bold letters, while the descriptions were in light, small font that was difficult to read. There were no prices listed for any of the sandwiches. After we found our own table, we were largely ignored until our soup finally arrived. The person who brought it was busy but polite. Meanwhile, the waitress kept attending to a table where she was familiar with the customers, neglecting everyone else. Before we left, a couple arrived and had a similar experience—they were ignored as well, and when the woman asked for a diet soda, she was told there wasn't any. They also had to request a menu, as they hadn’t been given one. How can you order if you don't know what’s available? This was our first and last visit to Edwards Market. We would not recommend it; save your time and money and choose another place. The atmosphere was very dull, lacking music or any enjoyable ambiance. Overall, it was an unappealing experience.
When the food finally came out, we noticed that several items were missing. The Cobb salad lacked hard-boiled eggs and was unfortunately made with shredded iceberg lettuce. Our burgers and fries were served without ketchup, and the fish and chips were missing tartar sauce. We requested refills for our drinks, as well as the hard-boiled eggs and condiments. While the water was promptly refilled, we were informed that there were no hard-boiled eggs available. We then waited for our condiments, but feeling hungry, we began eating our fries and fish without them. We asked for the condiments multiple times, but they never arrived. After waiting 20 minutes, we approached the kitchen to make our request again, only to find our condiments sitting there, ready to be served, with a server standing right next to them. This was incredibly frustrating. When we finally received our condiments, we finished our meal. While we were eating, another family arrived and waited five minutes to be seated. When no one came to assist them, they walked to the kitchen and shouted, “Hey, does anybody work here?” We heard them yell this several times without any response, and eventually, they left, which was a smart decision on their part. Afterward, we waited at our table for the bill, but our waitress never came. Eventually, we went to the kitchen to request our check, and someone had to fetch our server from out back. Instead of coming to us, she went to another table first. When she walked by, we asked for the bill again. After waiting longer and becoming frustrated, we decided to go to the main market to pay. At that point, a man—whom I assume was the chef or manager—approached us and told us to give the server a break, as she was only 15 years old. He then puffed out his chest and seemed to be ready to confront my husband. We asked to speak to the manager but were told by some staff that there wasn’t one, while others claimed the man was the manager. I’m not sure who was in charge, but he shouted across the dining room that he would be bringing our bill. We waited an additional five minutes or more for him to finally deliver it. Frustrated, we tossed some money on the counter and left without ever receiving the check. It’s unfortunate that this young server was thrown into a chaotic environment without proper guidance. She didn’t do a terrible job; she simply lacked the support to succeed. I wouldn’t return to this restaurant due to the poor management and mediocre food, and I would recommend others do the same.
We had a lovely surprise Valentine's Day dinner! The food was delicious, and our waitress was amazing!
I just ordered a cheeseburger, and it was completely raw!
