Contribuiți la feedbackWas able to pick up a pumpkin for Halloween and thoroughly enjoyed the small shop inside. The pickled okra I bought was awesome.
We called at 4:00 pm today to ask if there was still sweet corn available. We were told there was. We also confirmed that they would be open until 5. We arrived at 4:45 and the farm store was closed and locked. We drove 30 miles round trip for nothing. This establishment just lost our business.
Lots of nice people and great produce! I recently bought a butternut squash and made some soup with it! The squash are gigantic compared to what you see at a regular grocery store.
This use to be a fine spot to take the kids, pick some apples, buy a few pumpkins etc. It has developed into a raging disappointment. We went there this Saturday and it was a disaster. A typical example of a place that only cares about getting some cold hard cash in their hands and nothing else. How else to explain these items: Their website state: Masks Required. Yet the tiny store that doubles as a bakery and cashier has a small sign on the door stating that the employees do not have to wear masks because of health reasons ?? and that neither do the customers. So that makes a long line of customers waiting to get donuts and purchase their goods having to literally stand inches apart in a tiny store with few masks being worn, and the line is 30 minutes to get a dozen donuts, which was one of the original things we looked forward to in the old days of going there. There had to be 200 cars parked in various places of their field but only ONE handicap spot. That spot is right in front of the door to their store, exactly where the line for donuts extends into the parking lot. We joked on the drive out there that since they started charging for everything each year we went, petting zoo, craft fair, corn maze, etc. that this year they would be charging to use the washrooms. You guessed it, the washrooms are now conveniently roped off with the craft fair so to use any washrooms you have to pay. Ditto for the snack bar, if you want a mediocre overpriced hotdog from Boggio,s you have to pay them to buy that mediocre meal. The Band was way too load and distracting and why a band in an orchard anyways? What next, beer tent? Then there is the speed traps to get there. It use to be only the city of Standard was notorious for their speed traps on the way out there. Now we see the the other cities leading up to Boggio 's have jumped on the hay wagon. You better be at or under the speed limit through those towns. My advice: Dodge the bullet and avoid this disaster or pull along a porta-potty and make some extra cash on the side. Too bad Boggio 's you had a nice place there for awhile, but it looks like greed got the better of another good idea.
Boggios is legendary around the area, a true hidden GEM. I have been going since I was a little kid so over 24 years. This place is a great family spot, check their media and website pages for special events. They offer Homemade and Grown: Pick your own produce, pumpkins etc. Bakery Fudge Breads Pies Juices Canned Goods
