The Old Goat - Grand Rapids

Our first time at this fine eatery ... were seated upstairs Gavin (our server) was very attentive without being intrusive, offering excellent guidance on the choices food options. The food distracted me from taking pictures ... it was THAT good!

Always the best place to eat in town! The music is fantastic, sometimes it's live jazz or bluegrass, and the food is a variety, and actually well thought out as a menu. And the staff is always so friendly! Even the people in the kitchen. Lovely place to go to if you're ever in GR!

This restaurant has consistently excellent food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. We also love the live music! The pretzels and cheese sauce are a favorite, as is the brisket sandwich.

Eating was mostly great. two on our table had bearded bark hash and the kartoffels were a bit under done (circle) on one of the escapes. blueberry friture on the breadboard were fantastic. burgers were fantastic. a pleasant meal. server was very pleasant, but a little less than attentive, we had to make it for the service at two places down.

Quiet piano music, great food! it is a great place for eating and talking without screaming!
