Contribuiți la feedbackHalloween at Jolly Pumpkin? They had a specialty menu for Halloween. They had a blackened ?dead sticks?, the crust has charcoal powder in it. We got the ?truffle? and the ?fire and smoke? pizzas. Both were so tasty. Our absolute favorite pizzas are the ?south pacific? and the ?pickle? pizzas. For Halloween they had a vegan ube flavored cheesecake. It was very enjoyable and had an excellent texture. One piece of advice: I really wish they?d had something going on for Halloween that wasn?t food based. I was surprised how quiet it was at the time. We called in advance and was so excited to come by after being greeted by a lovely person on the phone being so fun and lively. I figured if anywhere was going play up the spooky theme, it?d be JP. We loved the food but was hoping for a bit more engagement for the holiday
Admittedly, I still have to at this point of Jolly pumpkin (I have gedint in Traverse City). I took about 5x out of this place. The food is wonderful and its portion sizes are great for the price (I recently added a side order of Fritten and it was much bigger than I expected for $5. My son ordered the pizzeria of the children and had enough for leftovers. I had the grain bowl and really enjoyed it, there was enough for my husband and I to share (I just asked them to do double rice and not Farro as I am GF). Definitely would order from here again and maybe dive for a date night!
My first time is trying JP. I'm at the fence. It's pretty expensive. $50 for two pizzas and nachos. We picked up the food. The best taste was the South Pacific pizza. Flavor's complicated. The Pprk Pig Pizza was okay, but not great. The pizzas seemed dry and chew. We also have the Red Chicken Nachos. The sauce was pale, but the chicken had a good taste, but it didn't stand out. Overall, I was not impressed for the price.
Probably the BEST pizza I?ve ever had! Wings I?d like a little crispier but still tasty! Great, friendly service, fun atmosphere.
I stayed twice last week and sat at the bar both times. The bartenders were extraordinary! They made good beer recommendations based on my taste. I loved one of the beers I tried and took a vintage bottle home with me! As for food, I loved the Perfect Fried Chicken Sandwich! The pimples are my favorite combination on a fried chicken sando, and they nailed it. The Dill Pickle Speer on the side had a good crunch and a beautiful spicy kick, and the curry chips were also good. Update: The Pickle Pizza is also great!
